Van Nuys Drug DUI Attorney
DUID: Driving Under the Influence of Drugs
Driving under the influence (DUI) can be charged if a person drives under the influence of a controlled substance, narcotic or certain prescription drugs. As with a regular alcohol DUI, when a person is stopped for suspected DUI of drugs they will be asked to perform one or more field sobriety tests as well as a chemical blood alcohol content (BAC) test. If a person fails any test or is found to have inhaled, smoked, injected or consumed any type of drug they can then be immediately arrested and charged with DUID (driving under the influence of drugs).
If you or a loved one has been charged with a DUI offense involving drugs, you will need experienced legal representation to protect your rights immediately. At the Law Offices of Loren M. Merlin, we represent clients accused of both misdemeanor and felony drug DUI offenses.
